Arthur Phillips
Arthur Phillips was born in Minneapolis and educated at Harvard. He has been a child actor, a jazz musician, a speechwriter, a dismally failed entrepreneur, and a five-time Jeopardy! champion. (His first novel, Prague, was a national best-seller, a New York Times Notable Book, recipient of the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction, and has been translated into seven languages). Phillips lives in New York with his wife and two sons.

A Spellbinding Experience

The Egyptologist is, without a doubt, one of the best audio books I have ever experienced.
Author Phillips is brilliant--both syntactically and imaginatively. Besides giving us a fascinating tour of ancient Egypt, he creates complex, fascinating characters whom we get to know personally and also through the eyes of other characters. I was in awe of the intracacy of the plot and how well it all fit together.
The three male narrators were superb. Each totaly consistent and smooth as silk.
